Eddi is a female chimpanzee. She is a member of Bart's Group.
Biography[]
Early life (2001-2013)[]
Eddi was born at Monkey World in Paddy's Group to Paddy and Susie.
Despite being taken from the wild at a young age, Susie proved to be an excellent mother to Eddi.
Due to being the baby of the group, Eddi was cherished by the other members of the group. She also had a close relationship with her older half-sister Hebe.
In 2007, Eddi's brother Bart was born and she developed a close bond with him.
Later life (2013-present)[]
In 2013, Eddi lost her mother Susie after she had to be put to sleep after it was discovered that she had an inoperable heart tumour.
In August 2016, Eddi lost her half-sister Hebe, who died from a fall. In October that same year, Eddi lost her father Paddy from heart failure. Following this, Cindy took over as leader of the group before being succeeded by Bart.
In September 2018, Eddi and her group were joined by a new member named Toprish.
In April 2021, Eddi and her group swapped enclosures with the Bachelor Chimpanzee Group. This was done because Bryan, the dominant male of a neighbouring group was getting upset by Bart's displaying.

- Eddi is named after the consultant who fitted Susie with an IUCD.
- Eddi shares her birthday (23 September) with Amy, who is 18 years Eddi's senior.
